This full day trip from Milan will introduce you to the truffle hunting experience and an important Barolo winery tour near Alba Piedmont area, an open air wine museum where the modern Italian winemaking started.

The tour will start in your hotel – at the time you prefer, where our driver will meet you. You will start your journey in a luxury Mercedes Car (different models are available, depending on the size of your group, all brand new with with air conditioning and Wi-Fi).
You will learn about enogastronomic, cultural and historical values that make Piedmont one the most influential wine regions in the world and the birthplace of Barolo wine, which started with Marchesi di Barolo winery. Experience an extensive degustation of the Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo & much more, as well as local specialties during lunch in an iconic restaurant near Barolo area.
The tour includes truffle hunting experience in a small group where you will learn how specially trained dogs can discover world’s most luxurious mushrooms. At the end of this experience, you will have a chance to taste the truffles you found.
Afterwards, your professional private driver will accompany you to one of the most iconic restaurants of Piedmont located near Barolo / Barbaresco area where you can enjoy local specialties.
After lunch, you will visit of one of important wineries where you will join a guided tour of the winery to see the cellars, the production site and (if possible) the underground area of the winery. You will enjoy an extensive degustation of their wines (from 4 to 6 different wines), which will always include Barolo & Nebbiolo wine.
There will be also a possibility to visit the shop of the winery in case you wish to bring some bottles with you to Milan (which is convenient if you already have too many things to do in Milan…); otherwise you can also ship Piedmont Italy wine to the most countries directly from the wineries you will visit.
Undoubtedly, you cannot visit Piedmont without exploring the most beautiful villages, such as Neive or Grinzane Cavour with its majestic castle. From here you will enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the central part of the region and discover the secrets of the winemaking through an educational path around the castle created by the local winemakers.
